Standalone Gender-Affirming Surgery Letters & Consults in MA & RI
Fast, Gatekeeper-Free Surgery Letters Built on Informed Consent
Navigating the healthcare system for gender-affirming care can be exhausting, frustrating, and heavily medicalized. Many surgeons and insurance providers require one or two clinical referral letters before you can move forward with your procedure.
I believe that you are the expert on your own body and your own identity. I provide standalone gender-affirming surgery consultations and letters for trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive adults located throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
My practice operates under a strict informed-consent, gatekeeper-free model. My goal is not to question your identity or evaluate your "readiness," but to act as a supportive ally to help you safely secure the documentation you need to access life-saving care.
Who is this service for?
You do not need to be an ongoing therapy client to utilize this service. This is a standalone, short-term consultation designed specifically for individuals who already have a surgical team or insurance timeline and simply need a prompt, compliant referral letter.
I write letters for a wide variety of gender-affirming procedures, including:
-
Top surgery (Mastectomy, Breast Augmentation)
-
Bottom surgery (Phalloplasty, Vaginoplasty, Metoidioplasty, Orchiectomy, Hysterectomy)
-
Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) or Facial Masculinization Surgery (FMS)
-
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) evaluations
Frequently Asked Questions About Letters & Consults
-
What does the consultation process look like?
We will meet virtually for a single, collaborative session. Instead of a rigid diagnostic assessment, we will discuss your transition history, your surgical goals, and your post-operative support plan. We will also review the specific criteria required by your surgeon or insurance policy (such as WPATH guidelines) to ensure the letter is approved on the first pass. -
How long does it take to get my letter?
I understand that surgical timelines are time-sensitive. Once our virtual consultation is complete and I have all the necessary information regarding your surgeon's specific requirements, your finalized, signed letter will typically be securely emailed to you within 7-10 business days. -
Are you licensed to write letters in my state?
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and provide these virtual consultations securely via telehealth to anyone physically located in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
